Sandy Ross

Counsellor

Sandy has been an ACC provider since 1991, working concurrently at Hastings Community Mental Health for 13 years so she has a wide range of experience with multiple mental health issues including trauma, depression, anxiety/stress, grief and loss, sexuality and relationships. She is particularly passionate about working with sexual abuse trauma with people of all ages.

Sandy has a Post Graduate Certificate in Heath Sciences – Advanced Psychotherapy Practice and is trained in the Hakomi Integrated Psychotherapy model which is a mindfulness based practice that acknowledges the connection between the mind and the body.Sandy has also completed training in Hakomi Embodied and Aware Relationships, Emotional Freedom Technique, EMDR and Critical Incident Stress Management.

Sandy lives and works from her home in Havelock North.
