Tracey Dick

Counsellor

Tracey Dick is a Clinical Social Worker/Family Therapist.  She works with people of all ages, from Levin to Pahiatua.  Her office is in Palmerston North, but she travels 2 to 3 days a week, so you may be able to see her in your local town.

She works with a variety of people and their families, with a variety of conditions, such as anxiety, depression and trauma.  She has worked at the local DBH Mental Health Service for over ten years as a therapist.

Tracey is a skilled practitioner in EMRD – Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing.  This therapy is an excellent tool for anyone who has experienced trauma and have developed negative beliefs about themselves.

Tracey is a skilled practitioner in DDP – Dyadic Development Practise.  This therapy is to help struggling parents and caregivers to work through deep emotional hurt that impacting on their relationships with their child and the relationships their child is having with others.

Tracey uses many other therapies such as CBT, ACT, some DBT skill building, Solution Focused Therapy and Brief intervention.  For some children, she do so play work and will use art as a medium for others.

In her spare time, Tracey enjoys my life with my dogs, friends and family.  She loves travelling, however her spare time is quite restricted these days, as enjoy being self-employed and running her own small business.
